Following last year’s changes in the radio regulations in both Canada and the United States, which for many classes of user have now opened up the possibility of using TETRA technology, more radio manufacturers are moving to establish distribution channels in North America. Sepura and Damm have both appointed Cartel Communication Systems to distribute their products in Canada, and Damm has appointed Nielson Communications as its distributor in the US. Sepura announced a similar arrangement with Nielson earlier. “TETRA has become a very important technology internationally, bridging voice, operational data transfer and machine-to-machine communications”, commented Dave Sanche of Cartel. “We have a unique capability to bring the many benefits of what TETRA has to offer to the Canadian industrial wireless communications community.” Louise Falser-Hansen, Damm’s area manager for North America, said: “Despite having been introduced in the US several years ago, the TETRA technology is for some end users still a new alternative. It is for Damm therefore, in the US as in other markets, a key to success to team up with local LMR suppliers to provide for the local end users. (中国集群通信网 | 责任编辑:陈晓亮) |
