Venezuela's Interior Ministry has awarded German supplier of radio terminals and systems Hytera Mobilfunk a contract to implement the Tetra radio system for Caracas police. The implementation will also be carried out by local partners APD and Cobra. Under the contract, Hytera will provide the DIB-R5 Tetra base stations with Tetra Enhanced Data Service (TEDS) support as well as the complete Hytera Tetra product portfolio. Hytera also said that approximately 4,000 handhelds and mobile radios will be delivered under the contract.
