The certification includes the Motorola MTP830FuG, MTP850FuG, MTP850Ex, MTP810Ex and MTP850 TETRA handheld portable digital radios as well as the MTM800FuG TETRA vehicle mobile radio.

The Federal Authority has also granted certificates to Cassidian’s THR9, THR9 Ex and THR9i TETRA models to now be used on the network.

Sepura’s certified range of terminals includes the STP8038, STP8138, STP8238, STP9038, STP9138, STP9238, STP8X138, STP8X038, SRH3900, and the SRG3900.

The certification of hand-held BOS devices is granted based on interoperability tests on special test platforms.

The BOS digital radio network is the world’s largest TETRA project. It is designed for communication by 500 000 users at the same time and will secure communication across governmental authorities, both in daily use and during large-scale events and incidents. It will be made up of 4300 to 4500 base stations and 64 core network locations (central exchanges, transit central exchanges and network administration centres).
