Malaysia Airports (MAHB) has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding to strengthen ties between Sepura and its partner Comintel for future collaboration. Sepura was chosen to provide an end-to-end critical communications at four international airports in Malaysia: KLIA, Penang, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. Comintel was awarded the contracts, carrying out the installation and commissioning of the networks. The contract included a TETRA infrastructure and over 1,000 Sepura radio terminals. The project was Highly Commended for the Best Use of TETRA for Transport Award at the 2013 International TETRA Awards. “We selected Sepura’s end-to-end critical communications solution with one main objective in mind: to achieve greater efficiency through centralised management of all of the airports’ resources,” says Dato’ Abd Hamid Mohd Ali, chief operating officer for MAHB. “Since its implementation, the new solution has already further improved our customer experience, and increased the safety of passengers and staff in our airports,” he adds. “The system has evolved; it now features specifically developed data applications and has also become a popular case study for the airport business at critical communications conferences around the globe.” (中国集群通信网 | 责任编辑:陈晓亮) |
