SinoCast -- ZTE (SZSE: 000063), China''s largest telecommunication equipment provider, announced on December 9 that the company''s Gota(global open trunking architecture) digital trunking communication system, independently developed and launched by the company, has been upgraded to the national standard. Insiders from ZTE disclosed that as early as in 2003, Ministry of Information Industry organized experts to start the test of the digital trunking communication technology, in order to support the development of China''s home-made digital trunking technology. For a long time, there were just two technology standards recognized over the world for the system of digital interphone, they were IDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network) led by Motorola and TETRA led by Nokia, but now ZTE has broken the monopoly. Under the support of Ministry of Information Industry, ZTE has started to construct trial network in Shenyang and Jinan by cooperating with China Railway Communication Co., Ltd and China Satellite Communication Corporation.
