The market for ATEX TETRA terminals is expected to more than double in the next five years, according to a new analysis. IMS Research’s latest study of the TETRA terminals market confirms that in 2011, 5 per cent of all TETRA shipments were ATEX devices. Furthermore, demand is on the increase and the share is forecast to rise over the next five years. The Eurozone remains athe largest market for TETRA. However, in 2011 significant developments were observed in regions such as Latin America, Middle East, Africa and Australasia, particularly within the public safety and utilities sectors. Deryn Evans, mobile radio market analyst at IMS Research, commented: “We are seeing increased success of TETRA ATEX in regions not traditionally associated with the TETRA technology. In 2011 there was an increase in orders for the enhanced capability of TETRA ATEX radios, especially in regions where mining and oil and gas extraction are majority industries and these operations demand intrinsically safe equipment.” (中国集群通信网 | 责任编辑:陈晓亮) |
