We look forward to welcoming you at next year’s event, in Paris (May 20-23 2013). As we return to Europe, we will be rebranding TWC to become Critical Communications World (Incorporating TETRA World Congress). Here is an explanation of why we think the time is right for the event to take this evolutionary step. During the last 14 years the TETRA World Congress has developed to become the annual meeting place for TETRA Users, Operators, Distributors and Manufacturers from around the globe. The show started as a small conference for a pioneering group of Critical Communications professionals striving to define and develop the TETRA standard. Over time, like the technology, the show has gained momentum, delivering sustained year on year growth and reaching out to new markets and Users. This year’s event will be the most diverse yet, attracting visitors from 75+ countries to hear 150+ case studies of TETRA in action and to visit an exhibition of 106 companies. As the TETRA standard and User requirements have developed, so the event’s content and focus has evolved. We are now at the edge of a new paradigm that directly impacts the scope of the Congress. Providing Mission Critical Mobile Broadband is the next big step for our industry. Today, Critical Communications Users are looking to the future and asking how they can access Mobile Broadband services (based on TEDS, LTE and WiMAX) and applications alongside their secure and reliable radio services. This is true not only for Users of TETRA, but also of TETRAPOL, P25, GSM-R and other technologies. Critical Communications World will incorporate the key show elements that you currently expect from the TETRA World Congress. In addition, we will be broadening the scope of the conference and exhibition to focus further on critical broadband technologies. The conference will examine how potential Mobile Broadband technologies can be combined with TETRA to meet the future voice and data requirements of Mission Critical Users. We welcome Users of all Critical Communications technologies to join the debate. The event’s core content will focus on the following themes:
Critical Communications World is produced in partnership with the TETRA and Critical Communications Association. Together we are committed to developing and showcasing the unique benefits of TETRA at the Congress. We will also now evaluate how all Mission Critical User groups can work together to define Mobile Broadband requirements, outline the business case and define networks, architecture and applications for the future. Phil Godfrey, Chairman of TCCA says “The increasing demand for critical broadband solutions is being addressed by the Association, hence our new name – the TETRA and Critical Communications Association (TCCA) – which reflects our extended remit. With our experience, we believe that we are the best organisation to drive the development of common standards for critical communications broadband capability. I am delighted that next year’s conference is reflecting that change. TETRA will remain the primary technology of interest, and the wider scope will encourage new potential customers to join us in Paris.
“Our focus on TETRA continues with an on-going programme of events around the world, organised by the TCCA and designed to promote the capabilities and developments in the TETRA market.”
I look forward to seeing you in Paris! Hanna Jackson Director – Critical Communications World (中国集群通信网 | 责任编辑:陈晓亮) |
