With a certificate awarded in June by the TETRA Association’s official test house, Motorola Solutions has become the first interoperability-certified supplier of TEDS-enabled (TETRA Enhanced Data Services) equipment. The company’s Dimetra IP 7.1 infrastructure and its MTM5400 TETRA mobile radio have passed TEDS interoperability (IOP) testing conducted by ISCTI (Istituto Superiore delle Comunicazioni e delle Tecnologie dell’Informazione), the independent Italian government test house appointed by the TETRA Association. An IOP certificate assures buyers that the products have been rigorously tested and that the functions listed in the certificate meet the requirements of the TEDS standard. Richer experience “We’re excited to be leading the way with TEDS and making TEDS-enabled solutions a reality for our customers who rely on fast access to visual data”, commented Tom Quirke, vice president and general manager of the global TETRA organization of Motorola Solutions. “TEDS provides secure, higher-speed data results for existing data applications and allows a richer user experience by combining image, text and voice with field operatives. “The certification of our Dimetra IP 7.1 infrastructure and MTM5400 radio terminal reaffirms Motorola Solutions’ support for standards and multivendor environments.” Certification and results are available on the TETRA Association’s website, www.tetra-association.com
