The large PTT on the front occupies almost half of the surface, allowing easy operation with thick gloves, with the elbow or even under clothes. Two soft-key buttons can be assigned as required – for example, as volume control and mute buttons for the integrated loudspeaker, for switching between TMO and DMO mode (TETRA trunking and direct mode) or for emergency calling (with protective ring). A bi-colour LED gives visual feedback. The unit is powered from the radio. Certified IP65 (dust and hose-proof) according to EN 60529, the CT-MultiCom offers good environmental protection even in its standard version. But it can also be ordered in an ATEX version with protection class II 2 G Ex ib IIC T4 (94/9/EG).
