China Telecom Co Ltd, the smallest of the nation's three mobile telecom carriers, and Qualcomm Inc on Saturday jointly announced that they are providing the EV-DO Rev. B express cards and the mobile phone with talkback function for the U.S. Pavilion of the World Expo, sources reported.

The express cards are produced by ZTE Corp<000063><0763>, the second-largest telecom equipment provider in China, adopting the chip solutions of Qualcomm, while the talkback mobile phones are compatible with the QChat technology of the U.S. firm.

The advanced EV-DO Rev. B technology features high speed, high frequency spectrum efficiency and low delay, and was adopted by the broadbandnetwork of the World Expo.

China Telecom is the global partner of the World Expo, while Qualcomm is the official partner of the U.S. pavilion in terms of wireless chip technology and solutions.
